Established in 2000 in the heart of east London, Labour and Wait offer a range of timeless and functional products to be used in everyday life. Since 2019 we have been making the Labour and Wait X Lavenham workwear gilet in our factory in Suffolk, England. Available in black or brown the gilet is reversible, with one side made from a robust UK sourced cotton cloth, and the reverse being our signature 2” diamond quilted Lavenster polyester.

The gilet features a stand collar and lightweight yet warm wadding making it ideal for wear whilst moving about in colder weather; the gilet will keep the wearer warm without restricting the arms.

Both sides feature two patch pockets and are bound in organic cotton corduroy. The gilet is made from tough workwear fabrics and manufactured using traditional techniques ensuring a garment that will last for years to come, softening up and becoming completely unique to the weare over time.

As with all our products we offer a lifetime repair service, so if the gilet does begin to show signs of wear you can send it back to us, where the hands that made it can repair it.
