The Lavenham archive is a continual source of inspiration for us at Lavenham. Our signature quilting may have changed over the years but our commitment to quality, craftsmanship and local production has remained.
Originally founded in 1969 Lavenham started out by making the world’s first nylon quilted horse rug. Founded by Mrs Elliot and taking its name from the village in which it was founded, Lavenham soon progressed into quilted jackets and gilets.
This season in homage to our roots we have recreated some of the first pieces to leave the Lavenham factory gates.
Each piece is made in Suffolk, just like the originals, and uses fabric close to that of early Lavenham garments.
