Continue ShoppingWomen's Classic Jacket Guide
The original diamond quilted, cord trimmed outerwear, in five cuts. Here is how they differ, how they fit and which size to take.
The diamond-quilted riding jacket was one of the first things created by Lavenham, in Suffolk in the early 1970s, shortly after world's first nylon quilted horse rug. The idea was to take the tailored cut of a traditional wool hacking jacket and make it in the same durable quilted nylon as the rugs. The Raydon was born.
Since then, Lavenham Classics have left the stable having long since been adopted into the everyday wardrobe thanks to their practicality and understated style. This guide explains the differences between the styles, how to wear them, and how to find your ideal size.

FAQ's
How do I find my size?
Classic sizing runs small, so compare the product page measurements with a jacket you already own. If you're still unsure, message us on social or email customerservice@lavenhamjackets.com and we'll help.
What are Classics made from?
Recycled Lavenster™ polyester, wadded with a partially recycled polyester that's lightweight and compact.
Are they waterproof?
They're water resistant: good in a drizzle, not a downpour. The fabric itself is waterproof, but quilting adds tiny holes.
How do I look after mine, and can it be repaired?
Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle. Care guide here. If it's damaged, send it back to us for repair: Lavenham's Repair Service.
